We are a team of individuals with a common purpose: to ensure that education is accessible to all.
We focus on 2 main industries:
1) Library Management Systems (organisation and delivery of resources and assets)
2) Educational content (modern, engaging, digital lessons and support material for students AND teachers)
Our unique position in the industry allows us to bring specialist insight across two seperate industries, where other companies cannot.
For example, our in-house library specialists mentor and consult with our content team on metadata and cataloguing for searchability and accessibility.
We are also the only suppliers in Australia to boast our own secured data centres. We have 100% security over your data, which means it will never accidentally end up overseas.
We are Functional Solutions International.
TV4Education is a brilliant platform that promotes interest in educational topics using the latest documentaries, films and media available. Its informative subject catalogue and topic interest summaries make the decision to utilise the programs even more stream-lined. Navigation is simple. Downloads are prompt. Classification ratings also enable the user to view age appropriate content.
It's quite simply a fantastic resource.
We have been using TV4Education for 5 years and have been using it since the beginning of TV4Education.
The recent changes have been absolutely incredible, particularly the ability to edit clips. Also, the streamlining of making it all one system with the Library Management System.
Being able to create lessons using all the content available is just amazing.
The widgets and customisation are just some of the exciting features of SmartSuite.
Teachers having their own login to allow them to do their work but also having the ability to see who is logging in and is interacting with the system is fantastic.
One other awesome feature is the ability for the system to automatically catalogue the YouTube clips that teachers are using in the class so that they can also be used by other teachers.
Having looked at the new SmartSuite, I can see that it provides a really fantastic way for schools to customise their services and design their library management in a way that suites them, rather than being stuck on the one that the vendor has designed for them.
Schools have the opportunity to work out what are the particular services that suits them, and make them more prominent.
I believe that's where everyone is trying to head, removing barriers to reaching the content and make the content as discoverable as possible.
... and I think SmartSuite is going to be able to do that.
